Hayes works for us

To the Editor:

Do our elected officials really work for us? Are our needs and interests important to them? Have you ever asked or reached out to your State Representative? You cannot know until you ask something of them.

Recently I found myself in dire need of some help and approached one of our State Agencies for emergency help. I had no luck, no phone calls returned and no questions answered. Not knowing what to do and with business hours over, I e-mailed Rep. Terry Hayes with details of my situation.

Terry called me the next morning for more information. I told her of my plight and she said that she would do whatever she could to get resolution.

Within three hours the supervisor of the State Agency called me with all the information I had been looking for, thanks to Terry.

I don’t have any idea what other State Representatives do for their constituents but I can tell you this, Terry Hayes cares very much about the people she represents and she is all action.

I have found that Terry is very interested and sincerely cares about her constituency without fail and without pause. Terry Hayes is what all politicians should aspire to be.
