Our Views: How many more?

Today, a gunman opened fire at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, CT. Twenty children ages 5 - 10 and six adults were murdered. Officials, the Connecticut governor and President Obama all said today is not the day to talk about how to prevent tragedies like this.

They are right.

Yesterday was.

When asked if there is anything that can be done to prevent this sort of thing, a former FBI official bluntly told CNN, "no."

"Until we provide treatment for the mentally ill, until we regulate guns, this will happen again."

We have not heard one good reason why the citizenry of this country needs to possess handguns and automatic weaponry.

What we have heard, is headline after headline:

So when should we talk about it?
