SUMNER — The Sumner Volunteer Fire Department will be holding their annual garage, bake and plant sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 1, at the fire station on Route 219 in Sumner. Refreshments will be on sale and there will also be a door prize. If you wish to donate items you can call Lucy at 388-2824 or Wilda at 388-2981.
PARIS — A public inside yard sale will be held on Saturday, May 18, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the VFW Post 9787 on East Main Street in South Paris. The refreshment counter will also be open. Come and have a great time.
NORWAY — St. Catherine's Youth Ministry is having a rummage sale on Saturday, May 18, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. in the Parish Hall at 32 Paris Street in Norway. A good selection of summer clothing will be available along with odds and ends. The youth use the funds earned for their retreats as well as charity to other teens.
WATERFORD — An indoor yard sale will be held Saturday, May 18 from 8 a.m. to 12 noon at the Wilkins House on Plummer Hill Rd in Waterford, next to the church. There will be many new items including a small rocker with needlepoint seat, rug hooking frame, and holder for braiding rugs. All proceeds benefit the church and the Wilkins House.
BOLSTERS MILLS — A "famous" chicken pie supper will be held on Saturday, May 18, at the Bolsters Mills United Methodist Church. The first seating is at 5 p.m., the second seating is at 6 p.m. and the third seating will follow as needed. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children under the age of 12. Reservations are accepted on Saturday, between 9 a.m. and noon by confirmation at 583-9024. Do not leave a message.
Throughout the summer and fall, the suppers will be held on the third Saturday of each month ending with the final one in October. The church is handicap accessible.
HARTFORD — Hartford Community Church will hold a public supper Saturday, May 25 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Masonic Hall in Buckfield. Being six months from Thanksgiving, this will be a Giving Thanks supper and will include turkey, stuffing, potato and gravy, squash, peas, corn, dinner rolls, homemade pies and beverages. The meal will be served from 5 to 6 p.m. Cost is $6 for adults and $3.50 for children 12 and under.

NORWAY — A free supper will be held on Friday, May 17, from 5 to 6 p.m. at Second Congregational Church, UCC, 205 Main St. in Norway. Whether you are visiting the Oxford Hills, single or a large family group, all are invited to join in for a delicious dinner of pork roast, mashed potatoes, veggies and dessert.

HARRISON — A benefit supper for the Maxfield family of Harrison will be held Saturday, May 18 at 5 p.m. at the VFW hall on Route 35 in Harrison. Supper will include baked beans and hot dogs, as well as potluck. Please come join the family; bring your favorite dish or dessert to share. All donations will be accepted to help the Maxfield family recover from their house fire.
PARIS — A benefit spaghetti dinner and silent auction will be held on Saturday, May 18, at the Paris Fire Station on Western Avenue. Proceeds will benefit the family of Roberto and Chelsey Gonzalez. Roberto was diagnosed in February with pancreatic cancer. The auction preview is at 4:30 p.m. and the dinner is from 5 to 7 p.m. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children under 12. Auction items include delectable desserts, gift baskets, gift certificates and much more.
