CASCO — The Vendredi Club of Casco is having its third annual craft fair on November 3 at Crooked River School on Route 11 in Casco, and they want you to be a part of the event. The fair features a wide variety of handcrafts and has space for more crafters who would like to have their unique craft included. Space is limited so commercial products or vendors cannot be accepted.
If you would like to be included, please contact Sharon Yackley at 627-7138 for more information and to request an application. Spaces go quickly, so plan early and join in on November 3 at Crooked River School. All proceeds going to the Vendredi Club are returned to the community, so please help the club help the community by showcasing your talents at the fair.
FRYEBURG — The 21st annual Saco Valley 4-H Take a Chance auction will be held Saturday, May 11, in the Natural Resource building on the Fryeburg Fairgrounds. View items from 5 to 7 p.m. and the drawings begin at 7 p.m. No wrinkled or bent tickets will be accepted. There will also be a food booth, $1 table and a 50/50 raffle to benefit Robert Lee of Fryeburg.
PARIS — A Preteen Dance will be held Thursday, June 20 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the South Paris Legion Post # 72. Admission is $5. There will be door prizes; there will also be healthy snacks and drinks available to purchase. TJ the DJ will be playing. Come one, come all and have fun. For more information, call 595-8499.
NORWAY — Plants, cookies, vases and pots will be on sale Saturday, May 11, from 8 a.m. to noon on the lawn at Christ Episcopal Church on 35 Paris Street in Norway. The sale will be held in the basement if it is raining.
NORWAY — A perennial plant sale will be held Saturday, May 11, from 7 to 11 a.m. across the street from Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School in Norway. This is to benefit His Place Teen center. If you would like to donate plants, call Howie Munday at 539-2372.
WEST PARIS — A public buffet supper featuring Finnish, American and other ethnic foods will be held on Saturday, May 18, at 5 p.m. at the Finnish-American Heritage Center on 8 Maple Street in West Paris. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children.
HARRISON — The VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post #9328 is sponsoring a public supper on Saturday, May 11, from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Harrison VFW Post on Waterford Road (Route 35). The menu is homemade baked beans, hot dogs, coleslaw, casseroles, salads, pies and beverages. Cost is $7 for adults and $3 for children, with proceeds benefiting the Ladies Auxiliary.
BRYANT POND — A public pot roast supper will be held Saturday, May 25, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the Masonic building on Main Street (Route 26) in Bryant Pond. The cost will be $8 for adults and $5 for children 10 and under. The supper will include pot roast, mashed potato with gravy, carrots, dinner rolls, homemade pies, tea, punch and water. PARIS — The Men's Club of the First Congregational Church invites you to a roast pork supper with all the fixings on Friday, May 10, at 5 p.m. at the church on East Main Street in South Paris. The cost is $8 and $4 for children under 10. Proceeds will benefit Oxford Hills Christian Academy.
PARIS — The Women's VFW Auxiliary Post 9787 of South Paris, will be putting on a turkey dinner as a fundraiser for Nicholas Spring at 5 p.m. on June 1, at the hall on East Main Street in South Paris. A second seating will be at 6 p.m. The cost of the dinner will be $8 and $4 for children under 12.
Nicholas is an eight year old boy who had a tumor removed from his brain. All cash donations can go to the Nicholas Spring Medical Fund at North East Bank in South Paris.
WATERFORD — The Wilkins Community House will hold its monthly Community Potluck Supper on Thursday, May 16, at 6 p.m. All are welcome! The Community House is located in Waterford Flat on Plummer Hill Road behind the village green next door to the church. The hosts for this supper are Martha Eaton, Sara Stockwell and Antoinette Tarbell. This will be the last supper until the Fall. Bring a friend and a dish to share.
