PARIS – For Rebecca Kennison it took living out of state to realize that Maine is where she really wanted to be.  She has hope and dreams for her future selling insurance.

Q:  Where were you born and where were you brought up?

A:  I was born at Stephens Memorial Hospital in Norway and lived in Sumner until second grade when we moved with my mom to the Norway/Paris area.  I moved back to Sumner with my dad for fifth and sixth grade then moved back with my mom until middle school.

Q:  Do you have many siblings?

A:  I have two brothers and two stepsisters.

Q:  What did your parents do?

A:  My mom was always a CNA until the past few years and now she is a medical assistant.  My dad worked in the woods and sometimes at my uncle’s garage.

Q:  What was it like growing up?

A:  As a kid I would play outside a lot.  I’ve always been independent.  As I grew up I never kept any childhood friends because I was always bouncing around.  I worked very hard at my schoolwork.

Q:  Was there anything you wanted to be when you grew up?

A:  When I was little I always said a teacher or truck driver and then in high school I said an interior designer.  Now I would really like to be a counselor for teens.

Q:  Where did you go to school?

A:  I’ve been to several schools; Hartford-Sumner Elementary, Fox School, Madison Avenue School, Oxford Hills Middle School and Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School.

Q:  Did you get into mischief or play pranks?

A:  I never got into trouble during school, but in my teens I gave my mom a hard time and I skipped a lot of school during high school.

Q:  What have you had for jobs?

A:  I worked at Subway during high school and when I lived in Pennsylvania I worked at The Children’s Place.  I’m starting work as a life insurance agent next month.

Q:  Anyone every said you look like someone famous?

A:  Not that I know of.

Q:  Did you do much traveling?

A:  My parents were not much for going places.  I went to Florida and North Carolina with my mom.  For college tour I went to New York and Pennsylvania with my step-mom.  I moved to Pennsylvania for two years and just recently moved back to Maine.

Q:  Which place was the most fascinating and why?

A:  I like Florida the best.  The foliage is beautiful and I like the hot weather.  When we went to Orlando I loved Sea World.  I actually liked it better than Disney World.

Q:  Do you collect anything or have a hobby?

A:  I don’t collect anything, but I have a few hobbies.  I like to scrapbook and someday I’d like to start taking diving lessons.

Q:  What is the last book you read?

A:  I’ve been reading classic novels on top-rated lists.  I haven’t gotten very far, but some of them are The Color Purple and Fahrenheit 451

Q:  What subject do you wish you knew more about?

A:  I have no idea.  There is still so much in life I still do not know.

Q:  What is the one thing you would not give up?.

A:  My family and closest friends.

Q:  What is the one thing you would happily do over again?

A:  I probably never would have moved out of state.

Q:  Do you have any children?

A:  I have a daughter, Mollie.

Q:  What scares you the most?

A:  The idea of spirits and ghosts.

Q:  What is the best memory this interview brought back?

A:  All the times I’ve spent with my best friend, Brittney Pray, getting to know William, my significant other and all the times with my daughter and family.

Q:  Last day on earth ,what would you do and with whom?

A:  I would spend time with my family on a beach somewhere very warm.  We would swim and have a picnic.  I wouldn’t want to ever know when the world would end.

Q:  Any regrets?

A:  I wish I wouldn’t have been so shy in school or cared so much about people’s opinions of me.

Q:  Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

A:  Living in a house with Mollie and Billy.  We will have dogs, cats and probably three more kids.  Hopefully we will live down south or at a place near the ocean.

Q:  If anyone could walk in right now, whom would you most like to see?

A:  I guess I would like to see people from past history such as Romans and Indians.

Q:  What would you like people to know about you?

A:  I might have made some mistakes in life, but I have a lot of high hopes for myself in the future.  I want to prove people wrong.
