ADCG to host meeting, bulk organic seed order

NORWAY — The Alan Day Community Garden will be hosting the first community garden meeting of the New Year. The community is invited to gather at the Fare Share Commons on Sunday, February 10 at 2 p.m. to discuss plans for the upcoming growing season.

This will include a bulk organic seed order, 2013 workshop schedule planning, community service projects overview, and a chance for new and returning gardeners to sign up for a gardening plot.

By ordering organic seeds in bulk, they can reduce the costs. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to join this community organizing meeting. There will be light refreshments.

The ADCG is an established nonprofit organization that provides community service through education, outreach and gardening support. Gardening plots are available at a minimal cost for folks who wish for a more sustainable and self-reliant lifestyle.

The ADCG hosts the Guy E. Rowe School greenhouse, as well as an area devoted to Harvest for Hunger, and provides a diversity of free workshops throughout the summer.
