Waterford Winter Fun Day slated
Photo: WINTER FUN DAY — Bill Winslow driving Red and Madison, Belgian horses. Red is 20 years old and Madison is 14 years old and each one weighs about one ton. They also have three of Madison's foals at the farm.
HARRISON — Sunday, February 3 will be a busy day at the Highview Farm of Bill and Darcy Winslow, located at 48 Leander Harmon Rd in Harrison because it will be the fourth annual winter fun day for the Waterford World's Fair and the fun starts at 10 a.m. and last until 2 p.m.
Dig out your warm clothes - hats, mittens, boots and a warm jacket. Then call your friends and plan on meeting them at the farm. The Fair mobile food wagon will be serving corn and fish chowder, beans and hot dogs, fried dough, meatball subs and of course a brownie for dessert.
If you want, you can cook your hot dog on the bonfire which will be going all day. If a hot dog is not for you, how about some marshmallows.
Also Bill will be giving sleigh rides for $5 per person and then you can go sledding on the big hill in front of the farm. After you have had all the exercise your body can handle, take a walk over to the barn and check out all the animals, eight cows, angora rabbits, mini horse, pigmy goat, five sheep, two dogs and three cats and of course the five big beautiful Belgian horses.
For more information, call Bill at 595-1601.
