Bridgton resident honored on 90th

BRIDGTON — Joan Emerson, a long-time resident of Bridgton, was honored recently after celebrating her 90th birthday.

Mrs. Emerson was born in Falmouth, Cornwall, England on November 14, 1922. She was married to her husband, James, for more than 32 years.

She also worked as a cosmetologist for more than 50 years.

State Senator Jim Hamper (R-Oxford) presented Mrs. Emerson with an official Expression of Legislative Sentiment.
