World's Fair meeting, supper scheduled

WATERFORD — The January meeting for the Waterford World's Fair will be January 13 at the Waterford Town Hall starting at 2 p.m. and anyone is welcome to attend this meeting.

The Waterford World's Fair Association will be serving its next supper on January 19 at the North Waterford Congregational Church (note new location) which is across the street from Melby's Market on Route 35.

This supper will be roast pork and all the fixings including drink, rolls and the best homemade pies around. The fee is $7 for adults and $3.50 for children. The food will be served from 5 to 6:30 p.m.

There will also be a 50/50 game and everyone who buys a ticket at the January supper will get a chance for a free supper at the February 23 supper.

Also mark your calendar for the Winter Fun Day on February 3 at the Highview Farm of Bill and Darcy Winslow which is located on Leander Harmon Road in Harrison (watch for signs in town).

There will be sleigh rides, sledding on the big hill, a campfire to roast hot dogs and marshmallows, hot fish chowder and dough boys will be available, and of course lots of animals to check out in the barn.
