Truth & Reconciliation events scheduled

AREA — Maine Wabanaki-State Child Welfare truth & Reconciliation Commission announces the following upcoming events.

On Thursday, January 10, Woodstock's Whitman Library Association hosts a talk by Arla Patch from 2 to 3 p.m.

On Sunday, January 20, Esther Altvater Attean will speak at the Martin Luther King dinner, to be held at the Peace and Justice Center of Eastern Maine, 96 Harlow St. in Bangor. There will be a vegetarian potluck at 6 p.m. with the speaker at 7 p.m. This event is free and open to the public; for more information, call 942-9343.

On Monday, January 21 at 9 a.m., Esther Altvater Attean and Denise Altvater will be speaking at the Martin Luther King breakfast, being held at the Winthrop Congregational Church, 10 Bowdoin St. in Winthrop.
