Public fisheries meeting planned

SUMNER — The Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife is holding a public informational meeting to discuss the use of rotenone to eradicate introduced fish from Abbott Pond (Sumner).

The public is invited to attend a brief presentation, ask questions, and provide comments on planned brook trout enhancement efforts.

The meeting will be held Wednesday, January 23 (snow date January 30 - call to confirm) at 6:30 p.m. at the Sumner Town Office. Questions may be directed to Francis Brautigam at 657-2345, ext 112.
