Christmas

'Tis the season for plenty of shopping,

a lot of celebration and seasonally drinking.

Little children whispering in Santa's ear.

You know Christmas is so very near.

City streets covered with silver and gold,

and the weather is getting ice cold.

Colorful lights in your neighbor's window,

and mother is baking cookies with fresh dough.

The joyous singing and cheerful smiles,

under the bright tree, presents are piled.

Christmas is near and soon it will be here,

before you know it, the end of another year.
