Holiday fairs

WEST PARIS — The annual Christmas sale will be held at Ledgeview Living Center in West Paris on Wednesday, December 12, and Thursday, December 13, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday, December 14, from 9 a.m. to noon. Proceeds will benefit the Ledgeview Activity Department. Donations are graciously accepted.

PARIS — The second annual Paris Elementary PTO holiday festival and craft fair will be held Saturday, December 8, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the school off High Street in South Paris. The event will feature many local crafters and vendors, wreath for sale for $15 and you pick your own bow, a book fair of children's books, Santa's workshop for the kids and yummy food and baked goods. Admission is free.

Texas Hold'Em

HARRISON — The Harrison Lions Club is sponsoring a Texas Hold'Em Tournament on Saturday, December 8, at the VFW Hall on 176 Waterford Road in Harrison. Doors open at 11:30 a.m., the start time is 1 p.m. and the end time is 6 p.m. The $55 entry fee includes the stipend for the State license fee. This is a BYOB event and food and refreshments will be available. It is limited to 100 players so come and have some fun. Proceeds will be used to provide services that the Lions Club renders to the community.

Dances

PARIS — The Jones Dance Band will be playing old fashioned dance music at the Legion Hall on Church Street in South Paris, on December 15, 22, and 29, from 7 to 11 p.m. The cost is $5 for adults.

PARIS — A New Year's dance will be held on Monday, December 31, from 8 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. at the South Paris Legion Hall on Church Street. Tickets are $10. Intermission will be at 10 p.m. and refreshments will be served. To reserve a table, call Betty Decoteau at 743-7965. Come and join the fun.

Potluck

OXFORD — Grace Fellowship Church on Poplar Street in Oxford will be hosting a potluck supper on Saturday, December 8, from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. Everyone is encouraged to bring a dish to share. Following the supper, a concert featuring "The Lighthouse Jubilee" will take place. There is no fee for the evening; however, a love offering will be taken to give to the singers. Supper

PARIS — A public supper, sponsored by the Paris Fire Department Auxiliary, will be served Saturday, December 8 at 5 p.m. at the Paris Fire Department, Western Ave. in South Paris. The menu will include turkey pie, mashed potatoes, veggies, macaroni and cheese, salads, cranberry sauce and homemade desserts. Cost is $8 for adults, $4 for ages four to 12 and free for ages three and under.

There will also be a 50/50 raffle. All proceeds will benefit the Paris Fire Department Auxiliary and Fire Personnel.
