Christmas in Harrison Friday

HARRISON — Following is a list of events for the two-day Christmas in Harrison.

Friday, November 30

5-6:30 p.m. — Soup and song at the fire department. Please donate canned goods for the local food pantry.

All Day — Stroll through the village and enjoy the homes and businesses that have been beautifully decorated for the season.

6:45 p.m. — The arrival of Santa. Please bring your flashlight or candle and join friends and neighbors at the lighting of the Christmas Tree at the town office.

7-8 p.m. — Children may visit Santa at the town office.

Saturday, December 1

7 a.m.-3 p.m. — Breakfast and lunch items on sale at the Grange Hall 7:30-9:30 a.m. — Breakfast buffet at the Olde Mill Tavern sponsored by the United Parish Congregational Church of Harrison and North Bridgton. Donations accepted and proceeds will go to Christmas baskets, Christmas food, cards and fuel assistance to the local community.

9:30 a.m. — Christmas Parade with the arrival of Santa on an antique fire truck.

10 a.m.-3 p.m. — Annual craft fair at both the Harrison Grange and town office. Be sure to visit both locations.

10 a.m.-1 p.m. — Children's crafts at the Lions Den.

10 a.m.-12 p.m. — Children's treasure hunt will start at the town office.

10 a.m.-1 p.m. — Visit with Santa Claus at his workshop in front of the fireplace at the Olde Mill Tavern. Parents, bring your camera and snap a picture with Santa.

10 a.m.-12 p.m — Cookie walk and gingerbread man decorating at the Harrison Village Library sponsored by Friends of the Library.

10 a.m.-3 p.m. — Christmas tree sale to support the Harrison community at the Village Tie-Up parking lot sponsored by the Harrison Lions Club.

10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. — The Harrison Brass Choir will be playing as they wander through the village.

8 p.m.-midnight — VFW Hall dance

Open Houses 10 a.m.-1 p.m. — Caswell House, Market Basket, Village Tie-Up, Harrison Lions Den (block basement), Olde Mill Tavern and Crabapple Barn

9 -11 a.m. — The Ballroom

10 a.m.-2 p.m. — Crystal Lake Spa and Wellness Center and Ruby's Slipper Cafe and Bakery

11 a.m.-1 p.m. — Northeast Bank (no business transactions)

The Christmas in Harrison Committee would like to thank everyone who generously gave to make the celebration possible. To all of those who make the sleigh bells ring, the lights glow and the village sparkle, the committee extends its deep gratitude and is grateful for the Christmas Spirit of all those who participate.
