Holiday donations to be collected during parade

OXFORD HILLS — 'Tis the holiday season and to help make the season brighter for folks in the community, the Oxford Hills Chamber of Commerce is asking for your help.

During the Chamber's annual Christmas parade, members of the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School's Key Club will once again be collecting canned food items. These items will be given to the local food pantry to help make holiday food baskets for needy families. Please donate what you can.

Also during the parade, WOXO will be collecting new, unwrapped toys for Rightstart's Christmas for Kids and Christmas for Teens program.

The Chamber will also be collecting toys for Rightstart during the Festival of Trees event. Toy and monetary donations can also be dropped off at the Chamber office any time now through the middle of December for the Christmas for Kids and Christmas for Teens programs.

Also, a portion of the proceeds raised during the Festival of Trees will go to Rightstart for these programs.

Last year Christmas for Kids helped 550 children ages 12 and under and Christmas for Teens helped 221 teens have a merry Christmas.
