Harrison decorating contest has begun

HARRISON — Residents and businesses in the town of Harrison are invited to decorate the outside of their homes/businesses to celebrate "Christmas in Harrison."

This year’s theme is "The Polar Express." Entries will be judged on artistry, lighting, originality, organization of display and theme-related decorations. Sign up at Northeast Bank, The Village Tie Up or The Market Basket by Tuesday, November 28 at 8 p.m.

Judging will take place on Thursday, November 29 between 5 and 7 p.m. Have your lights on!

Winners will be announced at the conclusion of Christmas in Harrison on Saturday afternoon, December 1 at 3 p.m. at Lakeside Grange Hall. Residence prizes are first place, $125; second place, $100 and third place, $75. Plaques will be awarded to businesses.
