Community service day at ADCG

NORWAY — Come join the fun at the Alan Day Community Garden community service day Friday November 23, from 1 to 3 p.m. The garden is at 26 Whitman St. in Norway (street by Ari’s).

Families can celebrate the season by supporting this local community garden where they help people learn how to grow their own food. After your big Thanksgiving feast you can get outside, get some fresh air and exercise and spend more time with your family.

They will be closing in the greenhouse for the Rowe school, fencing in the new garden area, cleaning up and planting a cover crop and preparing the barn to be a classroom. It will be a fun time to meet new people and make a positive difference for the community.

There will be t-shirts for sale for that special person who cares about the community but doesn’t really want another ‘thing’ they may not need. If you would like to sponsor a family to have a plot in the garden or just gift a Community Garden Sponsorship, certificates will be available. Hot cider with cinnamon will be available.
