Library launches online reading

PARIS — The Paris Public Library is launching a reading program for children in grades K-8, using Sylvan Learning's online program, BookAdventure.net.

Students will be able to take online quizzes after reading a book to earn points which may then be “redeemed” on prizes. Among the local sponsors of the program are Subway, KFC, Burger King and Hobbs Lucky Lanes.

Please stop by the Paris Public Library on Saturday, November 17, anytime between 12 and 3 p.m., for an orientation to BookAdventure and to register for the program.

Registration forms and information packets will be available at the library's circulation desk too. Participants must register first so they may receive their individual user name and password to access the quizzes.

For more information, please call the library at 743-6994, or email paris.public.library@MSLN.net.
