Purple hats!

AREA — Over the last couple of months knit/crochet infant purple hats have been collected to support the Click for Babies Campaign. Everyone who has put their needles together to create the most adorable hats in Oxford County is appreciated.

Some of the gracious knitters include Annette Ross, Pamela Carter, Gloria Rice, Dorothy R., Cindy Campbell, Jane A. Bridges, Marylou Lalancetto and the Prayer Shawl Group, Doreen Meloof, the knitting group at Market Square Health Facility, Jane Brown, Linda Danforth, Courtney, and many, many anonymous crafters.

As of October 18, a total of 224 hats have been collected.

The hats will be distributed to local hospitals at the end of this month. Participating hospitals will provide a new purple hat to every baby born during the months of November and December. The Click for Babies Campaign was established to raise awareness of shaken baby syndrome and the Period of Purple Crying.
