Paris Library plans games day
PARIS — Paris Public Library is participating in the American Library Association’s International Games Day on Saturday, November 3 from 12 to 3 p.m. Along with hundreds of libraries across the country, the library will be offering a variety of games for all family members to enjoy that Saturday afternoon.
This year, the fifth annual celebration, will highlight the game Labyrinth, a race for treasure in a moving maze, provided by Ravensburger. The game is for ages seven to 99 and takes 20 to 30 minutes to play. Also featured will be PopCap’s computer games, Bookworm and Bookworm Adventures.
Playing games, of all sorts, teaches a variety of social skills and promotes creative thinking. They stimulate the brain with their elements of risk and chance. They also are great for families and friends to spend time together and bond.
International Games Day @ your library is a national initiative supported by the American Library Association. For more information on National Gaming Day please visit #http://ilovelibraries.org/gaming.
