Korean War vets to be recognized

NORWAY — Commander Ron Snow of Stone Smart Post 82 of Norway would like to invite any veteran who served during the Korean War Era to a recognition ceremony on Sunday, October 21, at 1 p.m.

Any Veteran, male or female, serving during the time frame of June 25, 1950-January 31, 1955 is entitled to receive a letter of appreciation from the State of Maine as well as from the Congressional Delegations, recognizing your sacrifice during the time of War. Lady Veterans will also receive a coin authorized by the Maine Legislature.

Commander Snow encourages all Veterans from this time period to participate. Please call Snow at 744-9156 and provide your name, rank/rate at time of discharge, and the branch of service so that the certificates are ready for the Ceremony on the 21st of October.
