Haunted History at Norlands
LIVERMORE — Haunted History at Norlands, featuring the Strange Happenings of Livermore, will be presented Friday, October 26 from 6 to 9 pm. and Saturday, October 27 from 2 to 9 p.m. at the Washburn-Norlands Living History Center, 290 Norlands Road in Livermore.
Cost is $8 for adults and $6 for children under 12 with a family rate of $25 for a family of five (two adults with two or three children). Tickets purchased Friday night grants admission to daytime activities on Saturday.
Come for a thrilling journey into the haunted past of the greater Livermore area. Walk the “Trail of Norlands’ Past” on Friday and Saturday nights, after hearing about the “strange happenings” of Livermore by lamplight in the historic Washburn family kitchen.
Join in haunting activities in the library and one-room schoolhouse. Enjoy a cup of cider and a donut, made fresh on the woodstove, in the Farmer’s Cottage.
From 2 to 5 p.m. on Saturday afternoon join in a scavenger hunt on the “Trail of Norlands’ Past” by following clues and participating in a variety of haunting activities in the farmer’s cottage, library, one-room schoolhouse, and the Washburn family kitchen.
Hear stories, create your own story, and make a paper lantern to take home. Solve the clues and win a small prize. Plan to stay for supper on Saturday night. Soup and cornbread will be served from 4:30–5:30 p.m. ($2). Then, take the trail again in the darkness of night…if you dare!
This is a fun-filled family event for all ages. Be ready to laugh and to be thrilled! You’ll never know who or what you may encounter along the way.
