Join Loon Echo’s Fall Foliage Hike

BRIDGTON — Fall in New England – one of the best times to get outside and hike. Loon Echo Land Trust will lead a foliage hike on the popular Ledges Trail on Pleasant Mountain on Saturday, October 13. On this five hour moderate-difficult hike, you’ll trek to the summit and along the way marvel at the burst of color from swamp maples, quaking aspens and oak trees.

Hikers should meet Loon Echo Staff at the Ledges trailhead, approximately three miles down Mountain Road from Route 302 at 8:45 a.m. Wear proper gear for the forecasted conditions and boots with good tread. Bring energy-rich snacks and water. You’ll also want to bring your camera and binoculars because there’ll be ample opportunity for bird watching and snapping nature photos.
