Harvest dance set in Otisfield

OTISFIELD — The Otisfield Volunteer Firefighter Association (OVFA) is hosting its annual Harvest Dance on Saturday, October 20 at 7:30 p.m. The dance will take place at the Otisfield Community Hall, located on Route 121 in Otisfield. Music will be provided by Hurricane Mountain. This is a BYOB event.

The dance is the organization's major fundraiser and supports the Association’s involvement in the community with events such as Fire Prevention Week, the Otisfield Winter Carnival, 4th of July parade and more. They continue to support a scholarship fund for the First Responder program.

The money they raise also supports the Otisfield Fire Department with the purchase of needed equipment. One of their goals this year is to purchase a portable Blitz Monitor Gun. This apparatus can free up two firefighters to assist in attack of fire, search and rescue, or other duties as needed.

Bring yourself, friends and neighbors for a fun evening of dancing and socializing. For more information or to reserve a table, contact Noreen at 627-7033.
