Food drive scheduled

NORWAY — The AARP, in conjunction with the Rotary and the participation of the Uptown Cruizers, is holding a food drive for the Norway Paris Food Pantry on Saturday, October 13 in the parking lot of the Norway Savings Bank on Main Street, Norway, from 1 to 3 p.m.

They are hoping you all will give generously to help those in need in your communities.

Some of the items needed are canned tuna, canned fruit and 100% fruit juice, stew, chili, hearty soups, canned tomatoes, vegetables and pasta sauce, pasta, white and brown rice, dried beans, cold cereal, oatmeal, pancake mix, peanut butter and jelly, powdered and canned milk, Parmalat; please include low sugar and low sodium foods for those on special diets.

The Uptown Cruizers will have some vehicles on display and they will have a truck to fill with food - the more the better. Please bring donations in plastic bags or boxes to make it easier for them to handle.
