Vacancy on library Board of Trustees

PARIS — The Paris Public Library Board of Trustees has a vacancy. With the retirement of Karen Ellis, the Board is seeking Paris citizens, at least 18 years old, to submit their names for consideration to join the Board as it works towards having the library fulfill the community's needs in the 21st century.

The Paris Public Library is overseen by a volunteer 11-member Board of Trustees, which meets in the evenings of the third Thursday of each month, excluding December and July. Trustees also assist with fundraisers for the library, especially the annual used book sale at the end of July.

For more information, or to be considered for the vacant position, please contact the library’s staff by calling 743-6994, or sending an e-mail to paris.public.library@MSLN.net.

Applications will be accepted until Thursday, October 11.
