Breakfast

HARRISON — The Harrison VFW Post, on the Waterford Road in Harrison, will be holding its popular breakfast on Sunday, September 16 from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the post on Rt. 35. The breakfast features scrambled eggs, French toast, pancakes, biscuits and country gravy, bacon, sausage, home fries, fruit cup, sweet breads, orange juice and beverage. Donations are accepted.

Chicken pie

HARRISON — The Bolsters Mills United Methodist Church will hold its “famous” Chicken Pie Supper this Saturday, September 15, at the Church in Bolsters Mills Village, Harrison.

There will be two seatings, at 5 and 6 p.m., with a third to follow at 7 p.m. if needed. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children under 12. Dinner includes chicken pie, mashed potatoes, gravy, vegetable, rolls, homemade dessert and beverage and is served family style.

Although accommodations will be made to the extent possible so as to not turn anyone away, it is recommended that reservations be made the morning of the supper between 9 a.m. and noon. Call 583-9024 during those hours for confirmation. Do not leave a message.

The church is handicap accessible and air conditioned.

Dance

SOUTH PARIS — A Public Dance will be held on Friday, September 21 at the Floyd A. Harlow Post #9787, East Main Street in South Paris from 7 to 10 p.m. Admission is $5 at the door; proceeds will benefit Post #9787.

The food concession will be open to serve up some of your favorite goodies. There will be a 50/50 drawing and raffles.

Music will be provided by "Lolalee" & The County Bandits, playing traditional Country, Oldies, Big Band era and new Country. Dust off your hat and shine up those dancing shoes and come on down to join your neighbors and friends for a fun-filled evening.
