Calling all knitters

AREA — “Click” your knitting needles together and help prevent infant abuse! Your help is needed to knit purple baby caps for a new campaign to prevent Shaken Baby Syndrome/Infant Abuse. Knit or crochet as many as you like from five to 50. Caps will be collected from now until the end of October and distributed during the month of November to new babies.

By knitting caps you will be helping to educate parents about the Period of Purple Crying, a time when babies cry more than any other time and can be very frustrating for parents. Please knit and mail your purple newborn baby caps, as many as you like, to be received no later than October 26, to: Melissa Wakefield, Community Concepts, Inc., 19 Market Square, PO Box 278, South Paris, ME 04281.
