Breakfast

HARRISON — Start off your Labor Day weekend with a Buffet Style Breakfast at the United Parish Congregational Church, right across from Crystal Lake Park in Harrison. Breakfast will be from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 1. The menu will feature scrambled eggs, homemade pancakes, home fries, sausage, coffee cake, fresh fruit, orange juice, coffee, and tea. Bring your family and your weekend guests. They will love it. Donations will be accepted.

Dinner

OTISFIELD — The East Otisfield Free Baptist Church, 231 Rayville Rd. off Route 121 in Otisfield, will host the first Fall free community dinner on September 8. They will be able to seat 36 people at the first sitting at 5 p.m., and 36 people at the second sitting at 6 p.m. The menu includes barbeque chicken, vegetables and salads and desserts. First come, first served. Donations are welcome and will be used for Adult Christian Education.

Bottle drive

SUMNER — Sumner Scholarship Committee’s Bottle Drive is set for September 8. Volunteers will go door to door to pick up returnable bottles and cans donated for the Sumner Scholarship Fund. Please leave your donations in a trash bag near your mailbox or bring them to the Sumner Town Office any time.

Auction

SOUTH PARIS — A benefit Chinese auction for Responsible Pet Care Shelter & Adoption will be held at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School on Saturday, September 29. The doors open at 5 p.m. for ticket sales and bidding until 6:30 p.m. There will be over 300 great prizes, a $1 table and refreshments. Please come out and support your local shelter.

Craft fair

OXFORD — A craft fair will be held on Saturday, October 6, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Oxford Hills Assembly, 298 Coldwater Brook Road in Oxford. The fair will be held rain or shine. Tables are for rent for $7 or bring your own table and rent a space for $7. For more information, call Cheryl at 743-5840.

Dance

SOUTH PARIS — The Jones Dance Band will be playing old fashioned dance music at the Legion Hall on Church Street in South Paris, from 7 to 10 p.m. on September 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29. The cost is $5 for adults. Come and have a great time with very friendly people.
