Movie offered at Moore Park

PARIS — Come and enjoy a fun movie outdoors in Moore Park on Tuesday, August 21 beginning at 7 p.m. The movie is an all-time favorite about Americans in Paris.

Come early and enjoy a picnic on a blanket, or just enjoy a homemade international dessert that will be for sale at the Park. Some of the possible desserts include tiramisu, French apple tart and baklava.

This movie will be in English, but it takes place in France. The movie and dessert are part of a French movie series-with-dessert that has been ongoing on Tuesday nights this summer.

The series has featured some of the best French movies of all time.

The series is sponsored by students from Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School who will be going to France next spring. While the series is a fundraiser, students have also learned some about French culture and history from the series.

Other upcoming events sponsored by the French students include a yard sale on Saturday, August 25 at the parking lot across from the Rowe School, and an authentic five-course French dinner, served by the students, on September 28 at 6 p.m. at the First Congregational Church in South Paris.

For more information about any of these events, call 890-4796.
