Dance

SOUTH PARIS — A community dance will be held on Friday, July 20, from 7 to 11 p.m. at the American Legion Post 72 on Church Street in South Paris. The cost is $5 and this is an alcohol free event. All are welcome to attend. The DJ will be Frosty Fever playing all types of music — oldies, country, rock, etc. Request your favorite tune. This is a fundraiser with proceeds to go to the Auxiliary. Fundraiser

OTISFIELD — "Flamingoes and Fleas," a fundraising sale for the East Otisfield Free Baptist Church Scholarship Fund, will be held at the Community Hall in East Otisfield, located on Route 121, on Saturday, July 21 from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. This sale will help fund the scholarships for eight college students. There will be good stuff at reasonable prices, a bake sale and collectibles.

Suppers

NORWAY — A free supper will be held at the Second Congregational Church on Main Street in Norway on Friday, July 20 from 5 to 6 p.m. They will be serving up hot dog with roll, beans, potato salad and desserts by Bruce. For more information, contact 743-2290 or www.seconch.com.

FRYEBURG — A concert supper will be held on Tuesday, July 24, at 5 p.m. at the Fryeburg New Church on 12 Oxford Street. The cost will be $8 for adults and $5 for children. The supper will include casseroles, salads, baked beans, rolls, desserts and beverages. The concert program will be at 7 p.m. at Bradley Park and will feature Jon Sarty.

OXFORD — A turkey supper with all the fixings will be held Friday, July 13, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the American Legion Post 112 on King Street in Oxford. The cost will be $6 for adults and $3 for children under six. Proceeds will benefit the Oxford Helping Hands Food Pantry.

NO. WATERFORD — A public supper will be held at the North Waterford Congregational Church on Tuesday, July 17, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. The North Waterford Church is located on the Five Kezars Road (off Routes 35 and 37, opposite Melby’s Market). The menu will include baked beans, American chop suey, casseroles, salads, brown bread, rolls, beverages and strawberry shortcake for dessert. The price for adults is $7 and children under 12, $3.50.

Regular Sunday worship services for the Oxford County United Parish are being held at 10 a.m. at the North Waterford Congregational Church, through the month of July.

Strawberries

BOLSTERS MILLS — Crooked River Lodge 152 will hold its annual strawberry festival and fish fry at 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 19, at Bolsters Mills in Harrison. There will also be a FC degree at 7:30 p.m.

Breakfast 

HARRISON — The Harrison VFW on the Waterford Road in Harrison will hold its popular public breakfast from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 15 at the post on Route 35. The breakfast features scrambled eggs, French toast, pancakes, biscuits and country gravy, bacon, sausage, home fries, fruit cup, sweet breads, orange juice and beverage. Donations accepted.
