Upcoming blood drives

AREA — The American Red Cross will hold several community blood drives during the month of March. All eligible and new blood donors are encouraged to give blood. Blood donors are needed everyday to ensure an adequate blood supply for patients in need.

In March, all presenting donors will receive a coupon for a free lunch pack at Cumberland Farms, which includes a burger or a grilled chicken sandwich, any size Chill Zone or fountain soda or frozen beverage, and a 1.5 oz bag of Cumberland Farms brand chips.

Come in to donate blood in March and you will also receive a coupon for $5 off your next purchase at Freihofer’s Bakery Outlet. Prizes are non-transferable and not redeemable for cash.

Sunday, March 10 - Shawnee Peak Ski Resort, 119 Mountain Road in Bridgton, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Thursday, March 14 - Buckfield High School, 160 Morrill Street in Buckfield, 12 to 5 p.m.

Friday, March 22 - Casco Village Church, 91 Meadow Road in Casco, 2 to 7 p.m.

Monday, March 25 - Oxford Hills Comprehensive, Route 26 in South Paris, 2 to 7 p.m.

Saturday, March 30 - Oxford Masonic Lodge 18, 9 Temple St. in Norway, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The American Red Cross Portland Blood Donation Center, 524 Forest Avenue in Portland, is open Tuesday-Thursday, 12 to 7 p.m.; Friday, 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturday, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The donation center at Central Maine Medical Center, 300 Main Street in Lewiston, is open Tuesday-Thursday, 12 to 7 p.m. and Friday, 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
