Heartsaver CPR offered at CMCC

AUBURN — The Corporate and Community Services Department at Central Maine Community College will offer the American Heart Association’s Heartsaver CPR and AED course on Tuesday, March 5 from 2 to 6 p.m.

This course combines basic CPR skills training with instruction and practice in using an automated external defibrillation device. This course covers adult, child and infant CPR and AED with and without a mask. Participants must pass a skills test to qualify for a Heartsaver CPR AED course completion card.

This single-afternoon course is open to the public and is intended for individuals who have a duty to respond to a cardiac emergency due to job responsibilities or regulatory requirements.

This course is also intended for family members of patients who are at high risk for sudden cardiac death. Registration for this course is open and ongoing. The cost of the class is $79 and includes materials.
