Public supper, program set

BETHEL — Scott Andrews, of the Ski Museum of Maine, will talk Saturday, February 23, at 6 p.m. about the skiing history in Maine and show a slide show entitled "Schuss-Boom and Schuss-Bust: Fast-Paced Growth and Face-Plants in Maine Skiing 1946-1980’s."

This program focuses on the boom times following World War II and ends with setbacks in the 1970s and 1980s. For most viewers under 80, this period covers their personal experiences, including several shots from Bethel.

West Parish Congregational Church in Bethel will sponsor a casserole, homemade pie and homemade rolls supper at 6 p.m. followed by Scott’s presentation.

The $8 cost includes both the delicious meal and the slide show. For more information contact Jane Chandler at 357-3524 or Michele Perejda at 400-6227.
