CPR course offered

AUBURN — The Corporate and Community Services department at Central Maine Community College will offer the American Heart Association’s “Family and Friends” CPR course on Saturday, February 23 from 9 to 11:30 a.m.

This quick course is designed to teach potential rescuers the basics of CPR. Participants will experience a practice-as-they-watch class format. Topics covered include hands-only CPR and AED use for adults, child CPR and AED use and infant CPR. Adult, child and infant choking relief will also be covered.

This single-morning course is open to the public and is intended for individuals who want to learn CPR but do not need to be certified. This course may be appropriate for workplace wellness programs, members of volunteer organizations and school employees. Registration for this course is open and ongoing, however space is limited. The cost of the class is $49 and includes materials.
