MECHANIC FALLS — At the next meeting of the Mechanic Falls Historical Society, on Wednesday, January 23, Lucille Hodsdon and Noella Hemond, members of the Minot Historical Society, will discuss the books they have created and published. These books detail the recorded history of Minot as well as the early families of Auburn, Mechanic Falls and Poland. Their presentation will begin at 6:30 p.m., followed by the regular business session. The meeting will be held downstairs in the Congregational Hall of the society’s building at 64 Elm Street. Refreshments will be served.
H.O.P.E.
PARIS — The H.O.P.E. support group (Healing of Persons Exceptional) facilitated by Dr. Ken Hamilton meets on Mondays, from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Haskell House by the First Congregational Church on Main Street in South Paris. Snow Hoppers
PARIS — South Paris Snow Hoppers snowmobile club meets every third Tuesday of the month at the South Paris town office. Meetings start at 6:30 p.m. and all are welcome to attend. Come and join in on the fun and enjoy the activities.
Weary Club
NORWAY — The Weary Club of Norway will be hosting a coffee for club members and the general public on Saturday. January 19, from 8 to 9:30 a.m. The club is located at 385 Main Street in Norway.
Have you ever been curious about the Weary Club? Do you possess political wisdom? Do you have a Yankee philosophy? Then you are invited to stop by for coffee and treats. Members will be honored to give you a brief history of the club and discuss membership in this unique and historical organization.
