Chickadee Quilters

BRIDGTON — Chickadee Quilters are a vibrant, fun, creative and civic-minded responsible organization. The quilt group has been an active part of the Bridgton scene for over 30 years – their annual quilt is now in its 34th year.

The funds raised each year go to supporting the Bridgton Community Center, Bridgton Rec and the Good Shepherd Food Bank, to name a few. They also have supported Harvest Hill Animal Shelter by donating a raffle quilt for the past several years.

Project Linus, an organization that services children in need, is an another nonprofit organization that they help by making and creating dozens of quilts.

And they do know how to have fun - monthly workshops, Quilt Show, Summer Tea Party and especially their two quilt retreat weekends where they create wonderful quilts and memories.

Come join in the first and third Thursdays of the month at 7 p.m. at the Bridgton Community Center September through June. Don’t forget they still have raffle tickets for the beautiful quilt Geese Around the Garden - A Floral Sampler that will be raffled off at the 34th annual Quilt show this July 13 and 14. More details to follow.
