Finnish-American

WEST PARIS — The Finnish-American Heritage Society of Maine will hold its regular monthly meeting at 2 p.m. on Sunday, December 16, at the Finnish-American Heritage Center, 8 Maple Street in West Paris.

A brief business meeting will be followed by a coffee social and a program presented by Tamara Cohen on Finnish inventors. The public is invited to attend.

Hebron Historical

HEBRON — The Hebron Historical Society recently hosted three local speakers who shared their expertise in the topics of Social Security, Wills and Medicare.

Attorney Sam Mathis addressed the legal aspects of Social Security while local lawyer Dan Eichorn covered the requirements of detailed and timely will preparation. Doug Cooper discussed the major aspects of Medicare coverage. Following their individual presentations the three held a joint question and answer session for those attending.

Snowhoppers

PARIS — South Paris Snow Hoppers snowmobile club meets every third Thursday of the month at the South Paris Town Office. Meetings start at 6:30 p.m. and all are welcome to attend. Come and join in on the fun and enjoy the activities.
