AARP

PARIS — The holiday meeting of AARP Oxford Hills Chapter will be held on Monday, December 10 at the First Congregational Church on E. Main Street, South Paris. Lunch will be served at 12 noon and reservations are required by calling Ruth at 744-9069 by Friday, December 7. The menu will be a chicken pie dinner. The cost is $6.50.

Please remember to bring your total of volunteer hours for this year and a donation for the Food Pantry would be appreciated. There will be no meeting in January; however, any ideas for future programs would be welcomed.

The winter weather cancellation policy is to meet the following day, Tuesday, during December, February and March. Cancellations will be announced on radio station WOXO, 92.7 or if school has been cancelled.

NORWAY — Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War 1861-1865, Hannah F. Richardson Tent 19, held their November meeting on November 28, at 6 p.m. at the home of Marilyn Jones in Norway. There were seven members present. The first nomination of officers was held. The mystery prize was won by Sylvia Grover. The next meeting was scheduled for Wednesday, December 5, at 5 p.m. at the same location. Second nomination of officers were held.

Members, please bring four small gifts to fill stockings for disabled members.
