WATERFORD — The Waterford Historical Society will meet at 6 p.m. on Thursday, November 8 for a potluck supper at the North Waterford Church. It will be the final meeting for the year. The program will be local music, featuring members of the Jones Dance Band and a few other musical treats. The program begins at 7 p.m. and the evening is free.

Bee Club

PARIS — The next meeting of the Oxford Hills Honey Bee Club will be Saturday, November 17, at 1 p.m. at the Oxford County Extension, 9 Olson Rd. in South Paris. The meeting will be open for questions and answers. Those attending will vote for new committee officers and decide if they want a Christmas party.

Finnish-American

WEST PARIS — The Finnish-American Heritage Society of Maine will hold its regular monthly meeting at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 18, at the Finnish-American Heritage Center, 8 Maple Street in West Paris. Scott Andrews of the Maine Ski Museum will present the program, which will income a vintage film called "From Tree to Ski," which features ski making at the Paris Manufacturing Company. It shows the process from unloading logs to the finished product. He will also speak about the contributions of Finns, Swedes and Norwegians to skiing in Maine.

A coffee social will allow an opportunity to share further information with Scott. The public is invited to attend.
