OXFORD — Anderson Staples Post 112, The American Legion, hosted a concert by the Kora Temple Shriners Band on July 7 at the Veterans' Memorial Park.

Mother Nature gave them a wonderful summer evening to enjoy the music outside. The band played a selection of music that included marches, polkas and old time favorites.

The Anderson Staples Post family (The Legion, Auxiliary and Sons of The Legion) along with the Oxford Veterans Memorial Park, presented checks totaling $325 to the Shriners Band to donate to the Shriners Hospital Burn Centers.
