BETHEL — The Bethel Senior Citizens will meet on Wednesday, March 13, at 11 a.m. at the Roosters Roadhouse in Mayville for their meeting and dinner. The cost of the dinner is $11.75 and the menu is Yankee pot roast or stuffed baked chicken. Reservations must be made by February 28, by calling Caroline Gould at 824-3226 or Arlene Lowell at 824-2877 with your choice.
Church Women
PARIS — Church Women United will meet at 2 p.m. on March 1, at the First Congregational Church in South Paris. This will be a human rights celebration 2013 — "Breaking Down the Doors of Injustice." All are welcome and refreshments will be served.
Honey Bee
PARIS — Oxford Hills Honey Bee Club’s workshop will be held Saturday, March 9, at 1 p.m. at the Oxford County Extension Center, 9 Olson Road in South Paris. The speaker will be Maine State Bee Inspector, Tony Jadcazk; his topic will be getting bees ready for spring and problems with disease. The public is welcome. Swingin’ Bears
PARIS — The Swingin' Bears Square Dance Club announces that on March 9, from 7-10 p.m., Don Bachelder of Bernardson, MA will be calling Mainstream and Plus level dancing and Carol Arsenault of Dresden will be cueing the rounds. The dance will be held as usual in the cafeteria at the Oxford Hills Middle School, 100 Pine St. in South Paris.
Refreshments are always served at intermission with door prizes and a Pot O' Gold drawing. Admission is $6 per person. Non dancers are welcome at no charge.

PARIS — The VFW Floyd A. Harlow Jr. Post 9787 will meet at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6, at the Maine Veterans' Home on 477 High Street in South Paris.
Socrates Café
WATERFORD — A Socrates Café gathering will be held at the Waterford Library on Monday, March 4 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Meetings are held on the first Monday of each month. The group offers a forum to discuss current topics and ideas in a warm, friendly atmosphere, where divergent views will be welcome. Coffee and light refreshments will be served.
