Honey Bee

PARIS — Oxford Hills Honey Bee Club’s workshop that was scheduled for Saturday, February 9, at the Oxford County Extension Center, 9 Olson Road in South Paris, has been rescheduled to Saturday, February 16, at 1 p.m.

The speaker is President of the Maine State Bee Association and Master Bee Keeper, Carol Cottrill. The topic will be wintering bees. The public is welcome. For more information, contact John at 743-5009 or Kevin at farrout@roadrunner.com.

PARIS — “Deer Ecology, Habitat Management and Food Plots” will be the topic of the 7 p.m., February 21, meeting of the Western Maine chapter of the Small Woodland Owners Association of Maine at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School.

Representatives from the Maine Dept. of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife, the Maine Forest Service and the Quality Deer Management Association will speak on a variety of subjects related to managing deer on small woodlots. The meeting set for Room E118 is co-sponsored with the Oxford County Soil and Water Conservation District.
