PARIS — The churches of Deering Memorial United Methodist Church and Bolster’s Mills United Methodist Church invite everyone to join in their combined Ash Wednesday Service at the Deering Memorial UMC at 7 p.m. on February 13. The Pastors and congregations from both churches will lead the service that will include the imposition of Ashes, Holy Communion, reflective readings and a symbolic burning of old habits/practices and a commitment of new living.

There will be a mission offering taken with the proceeds going to the purchase of new underwear and socks for the upcoming 3-C Clothing giveaway to be held on April 27 at the Norway Grange. The 3-C Clothing Giveaway is a joint mission project between the two churches and the Norway Grange.

Pastor Anna-Jean Alexander and Rick Jackson, Ministry Team Member from the Deering Memorial UMC and Pastor Joan Spitzform from Bolsters Mills UMC hope to see you at the Ash Wednesday Service.

Deering Memorial UMC is located on the corner of Main and Church Streets in South Paris. The church is handicap accessible.
