The event will include a luncheon and a raffle with some of the finest pies to come out of this part of Maine. The 2012 Apple Fair is being held in honor of recently passed long time members and close friends to the church, Betty O’Connor and Janice Rand.
The Apple Fair Luncheon will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and the cost is $6 for adults, $3 for children five–12 and free for children under five.
The menu will feature chicken and apple salad, apple sausage quiche, apple muffins, a salad bar featuring Waldorf salad and other fresh apple dishes, and a children’s menu of peanut butter and apple jelly sandwiches.
“Our Apple Festival is a fun time for folks in the area to come together and spend a little time catching up with friends old and new,” said Karen Ellis of the church event. “Plus, I am always able to find a special gift for my granddaughter here made by one of the members.”
The bake sale items include desserts starring the wonderful apple like pies and breads. Or take home some brownies, cookies and cakes.
