CHRISTMAS MEMORIES Presented by the Senior College Players of Bethel. Miracle on 34th Street is a heartwarming holiday story about Kris Kringle, an old man in a retirement home, who gets a job working as Santa for Macy's and is great entertainment for the entire family. HOLIDAY FESTIVAL Sponsored by Paris Elementary PTO. 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at Paris Elementary School, 4 Hathaway Rd., So. Paris. Admission is free. There will be many local crafters and vendors, Wreath for sale for just $15 and pick your own bow, a book fair of children's books, Santa's workshop for kids and a food and bake sale.
SANTA CLAUS 12-3 p.m. in the Children's Room at the Paris Public Library, Main St. Santa will meet with children, accepting letters and listening to requests. OPEN HOUSE 10 a.m.-4 p.m. in the Gift Shop at McLaughlin Garden, 97 Main St., So. Paris. CHRISTMASTIDE CONCERT 3 p.m. at the 2nd Congregational Church, 205 Main St., Norway. Because of the enthusiastic response to previous Christmastide Concerts, this year there will 2 performances and there will be tickets which are free. The Music Committee of the church feels tickets are necessary so that no one will be turned away due to overcrowding. Tickets are available from any cast member, in the church office and during the Christmas Parade in the church parking lot on Nov. 24th. Members of the children’s theater group will perform with the adult choir. Refreshments will be served following the concert.
CHRISTMAS EXPRESS Presented by Oxford Hills Christian Academy with proceeds to help fund the new Staff Relief Fund. 7 p.m. on Dec. 8, and 6 p.m. on Dec. 9, at 132 E. Main St., So. Paris. Doors open a half hour early. Cost is $5 for adults and $3 for students and children.

CHRISTMAS MUSIC 4 p.m. at the Casco Village Church United Church of Christ, 941 Meadow Rd. (Rte. 121), Casco. Choir will sing a variety of music from sacred and classical Christmas favorites to contemporary selections for you to enjoy. Mixing within the program for everyone to sing will be your favorite Christmas carols. After the concert there will be refreshments for all.
BRUNCH WITH SANTA Fundraiser for the Oxford Hills Thunders for the 2012-2013 competition season and States in May. 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Paris Fire Dept., Western Ave. Price is $5 for 6 and up and $3 for 5 and under. Menu will be eggs, pancakes, sausage, French toast, muffins and a beverage. Santa will arrive at 11:30 a.m. with his big red magical bag of goodies for ages 12 and under. There will be several raffles, a 50/50 and door prizes will be awarded. Raffles will include one cord of dry/split/seasoned/delivered firewood, a huge Christmas stocking filled with goodies, and a gift certificate to a local nail salon. Door prizes will include a framed landscape photo from In The Moment Photography and a $50 gift certificate to Agren Appliance.
NORLANDS CHRISTMAS Proceeds benefit the barn building fund. 11 a.m.-4 p.m. at Washburn-Norlands Living History Center, 290 Norlands Rd., Livermore. Admission is $8 for adults, $6 for under 12 and $25 family rate. There will also be a Cookie Walk with $5 for a bag of cookies. Journey back to the days of old and enjoy 19th century parlor games, children’s activities in the cozy Norlands kitchen, caroling, the 1-room schoolhouse, jingle bell wagon rides, fresh molasses cookies and mulled cider made on the wood stove and the simply decorated Washburn mansion. Kerck Kelsey will share stories about Washburn family Christmases through the years at 12:30 and 2:00 p.m. Gift shop will be open and filled with unique treasures. There is something for everyone, such as books, prints, cards, caps and bonnets, dolls, old-time toys, candy, and more. (Postponed from December 2.)

CHRISTMAS SALE Proceeds will benefit the Ledgeview Activity Dept. 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on Dec. 12, and 9 a.m.-noon on Dec. 13, at Ledgeview Living Center, W. Paris. Donations are graciously accepted.

WINTER LIGHTING 6:15 p.m. at the W, Paris Library. All are invited to share in this annual festive event. This year the library is celebrating those who helped make the dream of a more spacious library a reality. Following the illumination of lights, if the weather permits, there will be horse drawn wagon rides for the young and young at heart. Inside, holiday cookies and hot, mulled cider will be served. There will be songs by the Agnes Gray Explorers and a sing- along of the season’s favorites with Jim Burke playing the keyboard. FMI call the library at 674-2004.

BREAKFAST WITH SANTA Proceeds from this event will benefit the Maine Heart Gallery, overseen by Second Best Ministries of Oxford. Heart Gallery displays photos of children awaiting adoption in ME. 9 a.m. at the Oxford Pizza Hut. Cost is $6 for adults and $4 for 12 and under. Checks and cash only, no credit cards. CHRISTMAS CANTATA 4 p.m. at the Locke Mills Union Church. The "Night of Love" cantata will be performed by community church members directed by Bev Melville. Refreshments will follow.
HOLIDAY GATHERING 5 p.m. candlelit caroling on the Waterford Common. Following the caroling everyone is invited to the Waterford Library for refreshments and an opportunity to enjoy the company of neighbors and friends. Children will have an opportunity for a visit with Santa and will receive a book as a gift. Everyone is invited.

This will be followed by a Christmas story and the singing of Christmas carols. Remember to bring your total of volunteer hours for this year and a donation for the food pantry would be appreciated. No meeting in Jan., however any ideas for future programs would be welcomed. OIL AWARENESS Movies Hosted by John O'Brien. 7 p.m. at the Waterford Town Office, 366 Valley Rd., Waterford. Showings are to raise awareness to the threat of tar sands oil flowing through the Portland Pipeline which runs through Western ME and by Sebago Lake. Waterford residents will gather to watch two films, one in opposition to tar sands and one in support of tar sands. A community conversation and questions and answer session will follow.
