"OCTOBER BABY" Movie 7 p.m. at the Cornerstone Gospel Church, 24 Sebago Rd., Naples. Free and a free will offering will be taken to help offset license cost and to get a new sound system for the church. A movie that every teen should see. It is certainly age appropriate for all, but teens will get something special out of it. There will be snacks and beverages. OXFORD HISTORICAL Society 6 p.m. meeting, at the museum, Pleasant St. Refreshments will follow the meeting, after which those who wish may carpool to the home of John Crumpton to tour his home.
OXFORD DEMOCRATS Supper 5:30 p.m. at the 2nd Congregational Church, Main St., Norway. Tickets are $10 at the door. Mike Tipping will headline the supper. Attending the supper will be legislative and county candidates. Supper menu will include ham, mac and cheese, and the fixings, plus apple crisp. There will be an opportunity to

BAYBERRY FAIR Sponsored by the Bolsters Mills Ladies Guild with proceeds benefiting the church’s Camp Mechuwana Scholarship Fund.
9 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Bolsters Mills United Methodist Church, Bolsters Mills Rd., Harrison. Fair will feature artisans and crafters with a gifted fiber spinner who spins wonderfully different and colorful yarns; a Chocolatier making homemade chocolates, jellies, jams and other tasty treats; a knitter who always comes up with unusual and beautifully knitted items ranging from hats and mittens to shawls, handbags and more; jewelry makers with their own differing styles; handmade wooden toys; houseplants and other really creative crafts to mention only a few. Photographer Robin Priest will be there with her creative photos and gift items. Look for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas crafts and baked goods including homemade pies. Refreshments and lunch will be served throughout the fair.

YOUTH FELLOWSHIP Event For local Otisfield youth ages 11-15 and you do not need to be members of this church or any church. 4-7 p.m. at the E. Otisfield Church, 231 Rayville Rd. This will be an evening of fun, make your own pizzas and plan for future events. In addition to pizza there will be vegetables and dip, other healthy snack foods and beverages to munch on. FOREST GARDENING Workshop 1-4 p.m. at the Alan Day Community Garden, Whitman St., Norway. Free and open to the public. In this workshop ways in which perennial plants, shrubs, and trees can work together to build fertile soil, provide habitat for pollinators and other beneficial insects, and yield abundant food for humans and wildlife will be explored.

HELPING HANDS Work Days 9 a.m.-noon at McLaughlin Garden, 97 Main St., So. Paris. Participants have a chance to meet new people, learn new gardening skills, and gain the satisfaction of knowing that the time spent helping is greatly appreciated. Kristin Perry guides volunteers in learning to identify and reduce weeds, how and when to deadhead and prune, and what and how to compost. She also teaches both common and Latin plant names. Workers leave with tips to use in their own yards.

SUSANNA'S TREASURES Fair 9 a.m.-1 p.m. in the vestry at the Minot Methodist Church. Free coffee will be offered and a luncheon will be served at 11:30 a.m. Crafts, including knit goods, mittens and decorations will be available as well as Rada products. The home-baked food will include cookies, cakes, breads, pies, candy and home-canned goods. There will also be free drawings for door prizes and a silent auction table.

DINNER/CONCERT Proceeds will help purchase a much needed iPad for legally blind Kiana Bade for her tutoring. All funds raised above the needed amount will go into the Church Benevolence Fund. Supper is from 5-6:30 p.m. and concert at 7 p.m. at Hosanna Church, 109 Schoolhouse Rd., Welchville. Showings are to raise awareness to the threat of tar sands oil flowing through the Portland Pipeline which runs through Western ME and by Sebago Lake. Waterford residents will gather to watch 2 films, one in opposition to tar sands and one in support of tar sands. A community conversation and questions and answer session will follow.

COMMUNITY SUPPER 5:30 p.m. at the 1st Universalist Church, Main St., W. Paris. Free and d0nations are welcome. Menu is a hearty meal of homemade baked beans, hot dogs, cole slaw, breads, desserts and beverages.
POTLUCK and Decorated Pumpkin Contest Proceeds to go to the Heifer International Fund. 6 p.m. at the Wilkins House next to the church on Plummer Hill behind the Common, Waterford Flat. Public is invited and bring a dish to share. Following the supper, the children will be invited to parade around and show off their Halloween costumes. Adults and children are invited to paint, carve or decorate a pumpkin and bring it for the contest. Everyone will be invited to put money in a dish in front of their favorite pumpkins.
