HONEY BEE Club  1 p.m. meeting at the Oxford County Extension Center, 9 Olson Rd.,  So. SWINGIN' BEARS Square Dance Club   7-10 p.m. in the cafeteria at OHMS, 100 Pine St., So. Paris.  Admission $6 per person and non-dancers are welcome at no charge.  Don Bachelor will be calling Mainstream and Plus level dancing and Carol Arsenault will be cueing the rounds.  Refreshments will be served at intermission with door prizes and a Pot O' Gold drawing. $1 BAG SALE  10 a.m.-noon on Mon., Wed. and Sat. at the Thrift Shop of the Lovell United Church of Christ, Rte. 5, Center Lovell. 

BENEFIT DINNER/DANCE   Proceeds will go to the Goulet family whose son Rusty is recovering from a snowmobile accident and their Mechanic Falls home was lost in a fire and the family has no insurance.  4:30-6:30 p.m. spaghetti supper and 8 p.m.-12 a.m. dance at the American Legion Post 150, Mechanic Falls.  Supper cost is $6 per person and $3 for 10 and under.   Dance will feature a DJ, great raffle prizes and a 50/50 drawing. Advance tickets should be purchased for the dance and are $10 per person or $16 per couple. CPR/FIRST AID Class  10 a.m. at the Oxford Public Safety Bldg.  On completion of the one day class, you will receive a certificate that is good for two years.  Certificate course is accepted for day/child care providers, loggers, guides, teachers and any other non-healthcare reflated professions.  Healthcare BLS CPR re-certifications are being done as needed.  FMI call Patty at 671-4460.

CHINESE AUCTION  Sponsored by the OH Head Custodians with proceeds  to benefit the OH Head Custodian Scholarship Fund.  Doors open at 11 a.m. and the auction starts at 1 p.m. in the cafeteria at OHCHS. There will be grab bags, a 50/50 raffle, a bake sale, food available and over 100 items to win including 50 gallons of Dead River oil, cases of Poland Spring water, an LL bean Wildlife fire pit, a vacuum cleaner, handmade quilts, pies, tools, clothing, a brand new bathroom sink, electric stepping machine, plus gift cards to many area businesses including ABC Rubbish, Quality Boot, Smedbergs, WalMart, Hannaford, Reny’s and more.

DOWNHILL DERBY  24-hour downhill ski challenge to benefit WinterKids.  Starts at 12 p.m. on March 9, and ends at 12 p.m. on March 10, at Mt. Abram, Locke Mills.  Registration fee is $85 per person. Teams must be a minimum of 5 people and a maximum of 10. All participants must be at least 12 years old.

MARCH MADNESS  Sponsored by Harrison Parks and Rec. Noon roast turkey dinner served family style with all the fixings, beverage and apple crisp at the Harrison Fire Station.  Tickets are $8 for residents and $10 for visitors and are on sale at the Harrison Town Office. WHITMAN MEMORIAL Library Program  2 p.m. at the library, Bryant Pond.  Carol Lillieqvist Welsh will be the guest speaker.  Carol, adoptee, birthmother and adoptive mother's mission is to shine light on human strength and resilience, raise awareness of the complexities of adoption, and inspire artistic design and the written word through her jewelry and her book,"360 Square."  Program is open to the public at no charge and light refreshments will be served.

CRIBBAGE TOURNAMENT  Senior project fundraiser with proceeds to benefit Responsible Pet Care.   Doors open at 1 p.m. and the game starts at 2 p.m. at the American Legion Post 82, Main St., Norway.  Admission fee is $10.   There will also be beverages and snacks available.

ST. PATRICK'S DANCE   A benefit for Greenwood Fire Aux,, Greenwood Fire and Jackson Silver Post 68 Aux.   Doors open at 7 p.m. and the BYOB dance for ages 21 and over is from 8-12 p.m. at the  Jackson Silver Post 68, 595 Gore Rd., Greenwood.  Cost is $8 for singles and $15 per coupe.  Dance will feature the Rockin' Roadrunners.   Tickets may be purchased at  Greenwood Town office or by calling Missy at 393-7719 and save $1 per ticket.

BENEFIT SUPPER  Proceeds will benefit Brian Tibet's.  5 p.m. in the dining room at Hebron Academy.  The supper includes spaghetti and lasagna, bread and desserts.  There will also be a  50/50 drawing and Chinese auction.

PUBLIC SUPPER    Sponsored by the Paris Fire Depart. Aux.  5 p.m. at the Paris Fire Dept., Western Ave.  Cost is $8 for adults, $4 for ages 3-12 and free for under 2.  Menu will be  corned beef  and cabbage, ham,  mashed potatoes, veggies, macaroni and cheese, salads, and homemade desserts.  There will also be a 50/50 raffle as well as raffles for a fresh veggie basket and a free meal for the next public supper.

BENEFIT SUPPER  Proceeds to benefit the Maine Bisons, a youth group from the Hartford, Sumner, Buckfield area will be heading to Buffalo, NY, this summer for their annual mission trip to help those in need.  5-6:30 p.m. at the Masonic Hall, Buckfield.  Donations will be accepted to pay what you wish.  Menu will include beans, hot dogs, cole slaw, potato salad and rolls.
