Chagrasulis named SMH VP, Medical Affairs

NORWAY — Timothy A. Churchill, president and CEO of Western Maine Health, is pleased to announce that Rebecca Chagrasulis, MD has been named the Vice President of Medical Affairs for Stephens Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Chagrasulis will be a member of Western Maine Health and Stephens Memorial Hospital’s Senior Leadership Team. Serving as the Vice President of Medical Affairs, Dr. Chagrasulis will be responsible for ensuring that safe, high quality clinical care is provided to patients. Dr. Chagrasulis will also serve as the primary liaison between the Medical Staff, Board of Trustees and Leadership at Stephens Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Chagrasulis received her undergraduate degree from the University of Chicago and her Medical Degree from the University of Vermont. She is board certified in Emergency Medicine and is a Fellow in the American College of Emergency Medicine.

Dr. Chagrasulis has been a member of the Stephens Memorial Hospital medical staff since 2000 and served as the Director of Emergency Medicine from 2004–2012. She is also the Regional EMS Medical Director for the Tri-County Region which serves Oxford, Androscoggin and Franklin County. Of her new role, Dr. Chagrasulis shares, “I have really enjoyed working at Stephens Memorial Hospital, and I am looking forward to contributing in this new capacity.”
