Email marketing workshop set

BETHEL — The Western Maine Economic Development Council is pleased to offer a workshop that will help businesses and nonprofits use email to target their customers; create, send, track and manage their emails and grow their email list using Constant Contact and MailChimp email marketing systems. The workshop will be held on Tuesday, January 29, 9-11:30 a.m., at the Bethel Inn, 21 Broad Street, Bethel.

Just having a website and/or a Facebook page is no longer enough; businesses and nonprofits need to remind their customers that they exist. Email marketing is low cost, simple, measurable and generates sales for your business or nonprofit. It’s one of the easiest and least expensive ways to keep customers and prospects coming back.

The instructor for this workshop is Shannon Kinney with Dream Local Digital in Rockland. Shannon has over 15 years of experience in the development of successful Internet products, sales and marketing strategies.

She has worked on the teams developing successful Internet brands such as cars.com, careerbuilder.com, and over 60 online media properties for newspapers all over the U.S. and Canada. Prior to that, she spent over 10 years in media sales and sales management in Maine. She is an experienced speaker, trainer and consultant, and has worked with small and large companies alike.

The price is $25 for members of any of the chambers of commerce that serve Oxford County and $30 for nonprofits and businesses that are not chamber members. To register for the workshop, go to www.wmedc.org and click on WMEDC Events or contact Mia Purcell at the Western Maine Economic Development Council, 739-6543 or mpurcell@community-concepts.org.
